Many of you know of Daybreaker. It's a daytime, drug and alcohol free dance event that happens every couple of months in San Francisco, well...
Next Friday, May 30 there will be an evening Daybreaker at Broadway Studios, 7:00-10:30PM. And it will feature 5 of my art pieces!

To the UnScruz community (and all Burning Man regional and/or Big Burn attendees:

I recently took Mani Padmi (a giant Tibetan Prayer Wheel) to unSCruz. The piece was beautifully placed, looked and sounded splendid and seemed to be drawing a lovely group of participants.

Early Saturday morning soneone tried to climb this most delicate piece - not once, but repeatedly. Mani Padme was damaged to a point that it was unsafe to operate.

I was devastated. This is a very special piece to me and it will take much time, effort and money to rebuild.

I want to make it clear what it means to me, and many other artists when this happens. It is gut wrenching!

unSCruz has an art vandalism/misuse/climbing policy - that if you are caught doing this there will be no warnings or second changes. You’ll be kicked out of the event immediately and banned from future events.

I hope the person(s) who did this will either make restitution or suffer the consequences.

This is Bloom. Bloom is made up of four of these large LED light flowers. It debutes on April 25th at an event, called Bloom (!!) at the San Diego Museum

Since then, it has been a time of resting and regrouping, building new art, fixing minor details in the art displayed below and getting ready for crazy new adventures in art.

Did I mention manatees? They whole crew had the amazing opportunity to swim with manatees with an entity that is licensed to lead such asventures. We learned so much about manatees and the way to interact with them properly. It was incredibke to see manatees mere inches away as they came up for air, swam under us and played with each other. It was definitely a highlight of the trip!

Nex we headed to Orlando, FL for the Immerse Fest in downtown Orlando. It was an amazing venue - the downtown area was very literally taken over with immersive art. It was really a wonderful event!

Next up, we traveled to Portland, for the lovely Portland Winter Lights Festival. It was our second year there and we had a great time in our new location at the World Trade Center

We definitely hit the ground running after Future of Festivals. The first order of business was building a second Mariposa.

This is the crew setting up the new butterfly and its structure
