Uploaded my website with my new work in 2020!
This series focuses on reflection of my internal self emotion painted during Covid-19 pandemics. From the pandemic, shelter in place order, police brutality, wild fires, to elections in America, I create these pieces to share how it is affecting me personally. Being an immigrant from Seoul, South Korea who moved to the United States when I was 16, I have been questioning my identity in the states since my arrival to this current unpredictable and confusing time. I depict what I desire within myself, and push the feeling onto canvas. My paintings show raw, inspiring, expressionistic abstract inner self-portraits to show how these experiences have impacted me through mixed media, bold colors, geometric and organic shapes, and splashes of paints.

All these painting are currently showing at the Pallette gallery until the end of January 2021 and can be purchased through the gallery. Thank you for your support!
