We offer hands-on classes, workshops, and community experiences across 18 industrial and fine art disciplines, including fire arts, metal, glass, wood, and more. The Crucible welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds to explore creativity, build practical skills, and make bold things in a supportive, inclusive community.

Congrats to the San Francisco Metal Arts Guild on 75 years of supporting metal arts, jewelry, and metalsmithing!

We’re glad to see the community come together to celebrate the history of the craft and explore what’s ahead. Craft Meets Code takes place October 17 at the Brower Center in Berkeley.

It’s been a week, and we’re still unpacking our content and gift bags!

In addition to discovering incredible spaces, we were seated next to new folks each time, and treated to fantastic stories about the neighborhood while on the bus.

Another huge congratulations to BLACspace Cooperative for a phenomenal and beautifully orchestrated tour on October 2nd.

Free Tours! The Crucible has free tours of our art space and 18 departments. Explore the space, learn cool stories, and get a behind-the-scenes look. It's a fun way to get inspired, meet new people, and soak in some history.

In this reel, even our local tortoise celebrities are in on the action.

See hands-on creativity while experiencing the nation's largest industrial and fine arts facility with 18 studios under one roof.

They are guided tours and lasts about an hour. Guests are welcome to stay afterward to mingle and enjoy the space. Link in bio.
