It's opening night for Into the Woods Jr. and we are so excited! Seating is limited at the theatre, so consider coming to one of our evening shows at Friendsville Friday and Saturday. Just remember to bring a chair or blanket if attending shows in Friendsville.

The show opens this week! Shows at Our Town Theatre on Thursday and Sunday and at the stage next to Friendsville Town Hall on Friday and Saturday. Thursday-Saturday shows are at 7 pm. The Sunday show is at 2. There is no admission fee or reservations. Please note that seating at the theatre is limited. We will open the doors to the theatre 30 min prior to the start of the show.
This production was funded in part by a grant from the Garrett County Arts Council.

This show is the Junior version of Into The Woods, meaning it’s much shorter than the original and it stars only actors under 18 years of age. There is no admission fee. We hope you come out to see how hard these kiddos have worked!

Local nonprofits are joining forces to restore Oakland's historic Jane Avery Memorial Garden, returning a peaceful sanctuary to its former glory. 🌸

We are grateful for all the help these volunteers are providing.

Volunteers are still needed for this Saturday's (May 2) Our Town Theatre Memorial Garden for phase one of the renovation project. Staring at 10:00 AM, more help is needed to clean up some of the overgrown foliage and clear out other debris. This project is being done in collaboration with the Mountain Laurel Garden Club. "Near the Backstage building is the Peter Pan Garden, with a memorial wall, planned by Jane Avery to honor the young
people of Garrett County who passed away “before their time.” This seems especially appropriate for a theater named after
a play that examines life from the point of view of a young person who died much too soon."
