Some recent photos captured by Hunterridenour who recently came to my new studio.

I haven’t shared much about this moving because life has been very chaotic lately but I’m settled now and working as usual.

I’m grateful for this new space (btw not far from from the previous one) where I’m able to continue my practice and experiment with new materials and dimensions.

Hope you can come and visit my studio for the next East Bay Open Studios event. I’ll share more info very soon

HOME IS A VERB, my new show at Minnow Arts Opens on Friday September 4th during First Friday in Santa Cruz ⚡️5-8:30pm

I’m specially excited to present these new pieces that are centered in experimentation. One idea that keeps emerging in my process is the desire to connect people and places by representing familiar spaces and their surroundings. This new work is deeply personal and my intention is to encourage reflection and a new sense of “adapting” to places we call HOME.

Also very grateful to work with the most talented:
Beautiful frames by Mario A Navasero
Beautiful photos by Brandon Joseph Baker

Can’t wait to see you soon!

Come and celebrate the Opening of ‘HOME IS A VERB’ my New Exhibition at Minnow Arts on Friday September 4th 5-8:30 PM during First Friday in Santa Cruz

I’m beyond excited to show these new paintings and sculptures that I’ve been working the past months ⚡️

📍204 Locust St, Santa Cruz CA

My work explores nature and the city as interdependent systems, constantly shaping and adapting to one another. As my practice continues to evolve, one idea keeps emerging: the desire to connect people and places by representing familiar spaces, their surroundings, and the human relationships that exist within them.

For Home is a verb, I created a new body of work that is centered on experimentation using various found and recycled materials. These reused materials carry traces of use, time, and adaptation, echoing the ways natural systems persist and evolve within urban environments. Through an intuitive process, materials are combined, layered, and reconfigured, allowing forms to emerge through response rather than predetermined outcomes.

The ideas of place, belonging, and the relationship between people and the spaces they inhabit play an active role in shaping this work. By inviting personal connections to familiar environments, I hope viewers become part of this exchange, encountering the works as evolving forms that encourage reflection, conversation, and a renewed sense of connection to the places they call their own.

Happy to share the final mural at Serramonte Center in Daly City. This one was fun to create and I really enjoyed the ocean views and the nice and short drive to Pacifica to get my supplies ⚡️

Thank you Alan Morales for taking these photos and for your support during the process 🕺🏽

The mural is located at the entrance next to Crunch Gym and honestly is hard to miss, hope you enjoy !

Another ambitious proposal today! In my mission to transform overlooked buildings in West Oakland, I decided to reimagine this massive building at the corner of West Grand and Adeline St. IYKYK this wall gets tagged almost every week and could honestly use some color. 🎨

Send me walls that need some love, and I’ll see what I can make happen.

I’m so excited to finally share what I’ve been working on over the past month.

When I started these new pieces, I was skeptical but excited to experiment with new materials. My first attempt at sculpting with joint compound was a bit naive, I assumed it would be much easier than it turned out to be. After many layers, countless hours of sanding, and a lot of trial and error, I’m really happy with where these pieces have landed.

I’ll be sharing more of this new body of work soon.

Another Mural proposal.

This warehouse sits at 24th & Union in West Oakland. I pass by it on my way home from my running route, and every time I see it, I can’t help but imagine what it could become.

There’s so much potential here… 🎨

I’ve been working on a lot of mural proposals lately, so this one is just for fun.

Manifesting more opportunities to paint my own ideas and keep transforming the community I call home 🙏🏼

I walk past this building almost every day. Unfortunately, it’s often surrounded by trash when it could be a beautiful space for everyone to enjoy.

The building faces Mandela Parkway and belongs to a shipping company. A mural on their exterior wall is probably not high on their list of priorities... but who knows? Sometimes the best projects start as a daydream.
