Prints made by in our most recent “Intro to Darkroom” workshop.

This workshop introduces participants to the basics of working in a black and white darkroom over the course of 4 weeks.

Topics covered include black & white film processing, contact printing, enlargement printing, and print troubleshooting and refinement.

It’s so awesome to see participants progress throughout the class and we LOVE when they come back and share their final results. Thanks for sharing your work with us, Dea!

Our “Intro to Darkroom” workshops are offered once a month. You can view our upcoming offerings at EBPCO.org/workshops (link in our bio)

The “Salt Printing” workshop led by .anne last weekend was such a blast!

Salt printing is a photographic printing process dating back to the mid 1800’s that uses table salt and silver nitrate to produce a rich brown print.

Participants in this workshop learned the basics of this historical process, including how to make and coat this light sensitive emulsion onto paper, expose with UV light and digital negatives, and process the print.

Everyone’s prints turned out beautifully! Swipe through this post to see some of the process and results, including a stunning finished print made by during the workshop!

Thanks so much to .anne for leading this workshop and for assisting.

We’re thrilled to have partnered with to bring a “Caffenol Developer” workshop to led by last weekend!

In this workshop, participants learned to brew and process their black & white film using beautiful coffee provided by our favorite local roaster, Rasa Caffe. We even got to enjoy a fresh brewed cup to drink during the workshop (separate from the developer, of course!)

Check out the last slides to view some of the stunning results of the process developed by and during the workshop.

And be sure to head to Rasa the next time you need a delicious beverage or some expertly sourced and roasted coffee beans!

Thanks so much to for sharing your knowledge of caffenol developer brews with us, to for working with us and providing amazing coffee to our community, and to for your assistance during the workshop.
