Four of our MHS choral students auditioned and were accepted into the 2022 MMEA All State Music Festival for chorus! These students left early this past Thursday morning to travel to the festival hosted at the University of Maine at Orono. There they joined with other high school students from across the state to rehearse music with esteemed conductors, Dr. Jeffery Redding from the University of Central Florida and Dr. Elizabeth Parker from Temple University in Philadelphia. The festival concluded with a concert in the Collins Center for the Arts. Congratulations to, and beautiful performances by:

We would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to The Ballroom Thieves who came to MHS today to give our Music Department students a songwriting workshop in the morning, and a concert for the whole school in the afternoon. We were able to provide this event for our students thanks to the Oak Grove School Foundation and the National Education Association. Thanks to all who made this possible!

The UMaine Symphonic Band is coming to the Messalonskee Performing Arts Center this Thursday, April 7th! Our very own MHS Concert Band will open the concert before the UMaine band takes the stage. There is no admission fee, however we encourage all to bring a non-perishable food item to contribute to the high schools' current efforts to collect goods for JMG. We hope to see you there!
