Kizomba in the Redwoods

Kizomba in the Redwoods Outside Kizomba dancing as long as the pandemic continues--and maybe after! Normally the event is held on Saturdays at 4:00pm, but check each event.

This is a free event, except it does cost you a little hike to get to some beautiful spots to dance amongst beautiful trees as the sun sets. We will hike 20-30 minutes to a beautiful spot in the redwoods. Some rules:
•You must be vaccinated or recently had this damn disease.
•Bring a mask and wear if if your partner wants you to. No need to wear it while hiking!
•Bring hand-sanitizer and use it be

fore each partner change.
•Breathe deep the fresh air, notice the light as it filters thru the trees and relax....

There is no kizomba at Brooklyn Basin this 4th Sunday as the organizers are in Montreal for a festival. There will be kizomba on the first Sunday in October.

Save the date of Saturday, June 17: We return to the redwoods! To celebrate Summer Solstice four days later join us for a short hike to a very beautiful spot in the Oakland hills redwoods where we will dance as the setting sun filters through the trees. Next week we will have parking directions, map and all that stuff. The most important thing to know is that you must show up on time at 5pm to go on the 20 minute hike. Kizomba dancers are always late :), but not this time. The dance “venue” is not on a trail, so best to be with a group.
