Thirty years ago, when Oakdale Rotary Club members were racking their brains to come up with an idea for an annual fundraiser, they had no idea how popular this "calf-fry" would become. Now known as the Testicle Festival, this event continues to receive press. Late night comedians, Jay Leno and David Letterman have had fun with it and so has Saturday Night Live. Last year, associated press picked

up the release and news of this event that specialized in this tasty treat went global. "The Testicle Festival was the #4 most read story on yahoo.com, said Cowboy Museum Executive Director Christie Camarillo. So it's no surprise that American Cowboy Magazine featured The Oakdale Testicle Festival, held on the last Monday in March, is one of the top 101 events to attend in the West. Yep, right up there with the Bishop Mule Days and the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival.
