Creative Edge is excited to welcome Lydia Parris to our staff. She's going to be a fabulous addition to our already amazing staff of dance teachers.
Lydia Parris fell in love with dancing at age 2, and never wanted to stop. Lydia graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Belhaven University in 2024. At Belhaven, Lydia trained in classical ballet, modern, hip hop, dance pedagogy, choreography, costuming, and dance production. Before college, Lydia studied dance at Studio Arts for Dancers in Knoxville, receiving training in ballet, tap, jazz, and modern, with a specific focus on Horton technique. Lydia was a member of Go! Contemporary Dance Works under the direction of Lisa Hall McKee for five years, performing in numerous productions including Unsung Heroes: Women of WWII and JehanneโฆThe Story of Joan of Arc. Lydiaโs teaching experience includes leading pre-ballet classes and ballet summer camps at Studio Arts for Dancers, teaching ballet to young students of Bezalel School of Dance and Pageantry, and leading open-level modern classes for adults at Circle Modern Dance. Lydia is a current core member of Circle Modern Dance, and is excited to be joining the staff of Creative Edge in the fall of 2026!
