⚠️ WEATHER UPDATE: Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Effect ⚠️

***UPDATE 12:00PM***
US National Weather Service Detroit / Pontiac Michigani has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for until 1:15pm.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Oak Park Farmers Market is closed for the remainder of the day.

Additional City facilities remain open, and we are closely monitoring weather conditions and following established safety protocols. We will take additional protective actions if conditions warrant.

Please note: The outdoor warning siren activation was for North Oakland County and not the City of Oak Park. Oakland County Emergency Management sirens may be activated when the National Weather Service issues a Tornado Warning or a Severe Thunderstorm Warning with damaging winds of 70 mph or greater. Siren activations are based on county warning criteria and may not always be specific to Oak Park.

Residents are encouraged to stay weather-aware and monitor official weather alerts for the latest information. Stay safe. ⛈️💨
