Amos, Irina and the Rest of the Pack

Irina is a huge lover of animals. Her dog, Amos, is the main image made up of 204 images of he and Irina’s many other dogs she’s had over the years. Amos is smart, sweet, cuddly, loves caviar, always playing and has a special towel and stuffy he carries when he wants you to play with him.

What a blast to create this Elton John commission for Jeff Clement and John Rogers! I loved including some of their personal pics from Elton John concerts as well as their musical influences (Tina Turner, Duran Duran, Billy Joel, David Bowie), in addition to the over 1,000 music icons included.

Elton John is an icon in the music industry, a promoter of love & acceptance and have had a major impact on the lives of both Jeff Clement & John Rogers. Here, 1,081 images of influential musicians & singers are incorporated, including people who have made an impact on Jeff & John’s lives such as Tina Turner, David Bowie, Janet Jackson, Lionel Richie and Madonna to name several.

The El: Chicago Icons

The elevated train or “The El” in Chicago is unique to the Second City. Here, 504 iconic Chicago images, such as entertainers, athletes, tourist sites, brands, and sports teams are included. Some notables are Bozo the Clown, deep dish pizza, John Belushi, Navy Pier and Oprah Winfrey.

Amanda & Kevin: An Arizona Romance

Amanda Bergen & Kevin Ladd met in graduate school at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. They met on Hinge, only to realize that they had met previously playing beer pong against each other at a pool party (Amanda won!). They recently bought their first home together in April 2025 in Phoenix. Their nuptials are set for March 21, 2026. This mosaic includes 588 images of Amanda & Kevin, their families, friends and memories shared, coming together to make an iconic Arizona sunset.

That's a wrap on Art Start at Whittier Elementary for the year! Loved these kids and their imaginations creating their paper photo mosaics made with changemakers and themselves to make an image of the peace sign. They encouraged one another and made constructive comments. Woot!

My latest commission! A lovely repeat client wanted to celebrate her friends with a gift of art. She asked that I create 8 of these mosaics for her and to give to her 7 friends. What a generous soul!

Lake Weekend: Love & Friendship

Elizabeth, Janie, Julie, Kim, Melissa, Meredith, Sheri, Tina all met years ago when they attended the University of Kansas. They have stayed close ever since and have gotten together every year since we graduated college. They call it “Lake Weekend” because it started with them going to Lake of the Ozarks many years ago. Here, “LW” and a heart is created using 322 images of all of them from their numerous trips together. The blue & crimson colors are not only KU colors, but the blue & white of their sorority, ADPi, as well as the blue representing their lake weekends.

Frank Lloyd Wright is arguably the most influential architect in modern history. A leader of the Prairie School Movement, he believed in designing structures that were in harmony with their environment, also known as organic architecture. Some of his works, have been called the “best all-time work of American architecture.” Here, 812 images are incorporated of his designs, homes/structures, family & other influences in his life that affected him personally and professionally (e.g. music, designers, architects, friends, colleagues).
