Expressions Studio is a print and paper arts studio, gallery and artist co-op in Oak Park’s Arts Dist Our members show and sell their work in our artist co-op.

Expressions Studio is a non-profit printmaking cooperative and fine arts gallery. Our volunteer-run facilities include a working press shop, committed to safe and eco-friendly alternative methods, and a gallery space open to the public. We offer classes and education outreach programs for children and adults of all skill levels. We often offer printmaking demonstrations in order to share our exper

tise with the community and to promote a general interest in art. Expressions Studio is a not for profit printmaking group partially funded by the OPAAC, in partnership with the Villages of Oak Park, Forest Park and River Forest, and the IAC, a state agency, also its members and Northern Trust Bank.

REDUCTION LINOCUT
Saturday May 2 & 9 from 1:00-4:00 pm at Expressions Studio, Oak Park.
Cost: $150 ($135 Expressions members)
Instructor: René Arceo

Develop a design, cut a linoleum block, and learn the registration process to accurately print multiple colors from a single block. Class cost includes two class sessions (3 hours each), one 8” x 10” linoleum block, printing ink, printing paper, and the use of carving tools.

Bring an 8x10-inch sketch to class (vertical or horizontal) to work from.

This Spring we’re hosting René Arceo here at the Expressions Studio for a two-class workshop on Reduction Linocut

💫 Saturday May 2 & May 9th, 1 – 4 pm

René Arceo is a printmaker, painter and co-founder of Galeria Ink Works and the Taller Mexicano de Grabado. René has exhibited in Poland, Mexico, Spain, Canada, France and the United States. He received numerous awards including two Governor’s International Exchange Program from the Illinois Arts Council to travel, lecture and exhibit in Lublin, Poland and in Paris, France. In 2005 he founded Arceo Press to promote international printmaking exchanges.
