Here's a piece I just recently finished. "Dakota Spirit", 19" X 14 1/2" done in watercolor and colored pencil on 300 lb hot press watercolor paper. I used my own reference photo. Thanks for taking the time to look.

Well I found out that I won Best of Show at the San Bernardino County Fair for my art "Don't Tread on Me". Really excited! Sorry the lighting wasn't very good for the photo.

This is my latest colored pencil on the Icarus Board that I got from Ester Roi last summer. If you don't know what an Icarus Board is, it heats up the colored pencil and melts it while you're working on it. It allows you to really blend it easier. I used Prismacolor colored pencils on Canson pure white drawing board. For you colored pencil artists out there, I applied Color Fix clear, fine tooth primer to my board before the colored pencil. The reference photo is with permission from Skip Mahoney. Thanks Skip! I called it "A Hike at Sunset".
