’Twas the night before recital, and all through Dance Force,
Not a dancer was sleeping, of course.
Costumes were hung on the closet with care,
In hopes that recital day soon would be there.
The dancers were tucked into bed with excitement,
Dreaming of turns, leaps, and perfect alignment.
With bobby pins ready and makeup in sight,
Everyone tried to get some sleep for the night.
When out in the house there arose such a clatter,
A dancer sat up—“Did I pack everything that matters?”
Shoes, tights, earrings, costume number three,
“Mom, can you double-check all of this for me?”
The stage lights would soon shine bright and glow,
As dancers prepared for the big weekend show.
Months of hard work, rehearsals, and sweat,
Would become unforgettable memories yet.
The teachers and staff had worked countless hours,
Helping dancers bloom and grow like flowers.
From tiny tots to seniors taking their final bow,
The moment they’d waited for was almost here now.
So sleep little dancers, the big day is near,
Walk on that stage with confidence, not fear.
Dance with your heart and let your passion show,
For tomorrow you’ll shine brighter than you know.
And we heard the Dance Force family exclaim with delight,
“Happy Recital to all, and to all a good night!”
