Sister B's Bingo Bonanza

Sister B says: "I know there is a wait to get the vaccine. Be patient. It's coming. You'll get it if you want it. Father Chuck let Cherisse use his car (after she changed the oil) and she drove me to the United Center TWICE and I got both my shots. And to the people in charge of the United Center, think about replacing the statue of Michael Jordan with a statue of Jesus. He performed miracles too, and they didn't all involve a basketball. Anyway, Cherisse is hopefully getting her first shot in April and Father Chuck is getting his second shot next week, so we're feeling a little more confident over here, although we still can't play bingo or hold masses in the basement. Hang in there, everybody, and stay safe!"

Sister B says: "This virus is a test and many of you are failing! If you want us to be able to play bingo again you all need to stay home as much as possible, wear a mask when you go out, and wash your hands a lot more often. My anger management teacher told me in our ZOOM meeting to be nice to people about it and stop yelling about the rules, but this virus doesn't play nice. I want you all to be safe and healthy--is that so much to ask? Sister Cherisse and Father Chuck and I hope to see you in 2021. And we don't want all the bingo prizes to be rubber gloves and face visors!"

Sister Cherisse says: "Thank you to everyone who joined us in Milwaukee this weekend! Congratulations to all you winners--and don't worry, Father Chuck and I will make sure Sister B. doesn't come back to Milwaukee for a while. We are sorry for her slight burst of anger. She is working on her temper, and we think it was triggered by the humidity! Why don't we ALL cool down with a nice mint!"

The problem is, you have to get them through the festival, not us. Don't make me say it again! Sister Cherisse found this handy website link where you can buy tickets in advance, and as a reminder we are playing bingo Saturday, August 19th at 4:30 pm, and Sunday, August 20th at 12 noon in the Theater Pavilion. Now stop calling before I take your phones away."

We will be playing bingo at the Irish Fest TWICE! Find us at the Theater Pavilion venue either Saturday, August 19th at 4:30 pm, or Sunday, August 20th at 12 noon, rain or shine. I'll be coming directly from my anger management class, so it'll be a good day!"

Sister B. says, "Thank you so much to everyone who joined us at Gaelic Park's Irish Fest for our bingo games on Sunday. The festival is a 31 year old tradition, and we were proud to be one small part of the fun. Sister Cherisse, Father Martini and I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Now GET BACK TO WORK."

We start at 2:30pm SHARP on Sunday, May 28th at the Performing Arts Stage venue, and I expect everyone to be on time, sober, and fresh from attending mass. Have your dimes ready because just like City Hall in the good ol' days, you gotta pay to play! We'll see you at Irish Fest!"

Gaelic Park hosts its Annual Irish Fest on Memorial Day Weekend with over 40 acts performing on 5 stages both indoors and out, unlimited free carnival rides, kids entertainment, free parking, theatre, and dance.

Sister Cherisse says, "Do you have a group of 75 to 150 people that would like to schedule an afternoon or evening of bingo games with us? We are now organizing our summer calendar, and we will be playing bingo on the northside of Chicago for groups that size. Box lunch (sandwich, chips, cookie) is included along with a cash bar! Sister B. says: "Thank you very much to everyone who showed up to play bingo in St. Charles, IL on Saturday. We raised a substantial amount of money for Healing Hands Mission! See how much you can accomplish when you get up off the couch and actually DO something? You're all winners in my book. Well...ALMOST all of you."

Sister B. says: "This is your final reminder about our bingo game in St. Charles, IL tomorrow (Saturday, March 18th)! We'll be playing at 6:30 pm at St. John Neumann Church at 2900 East Main Street. Reserve your seat by calling 630-440-6041. Dinner and a cash bar will be provided by Abby's Breakfast and Lunch. Let's all be grateful for that--no whining about being hungry or dehydrated! And I believe there are only a handful of bingo cards left--so call fast to RSVP."

Sister B. says, "Mark your calendars! We'll be playing bingo in St. Charles, Illinois at 6:30 pm on Saturday, March 18th at St. John Neumann Church (2900 East Main Street in St Charles). Reserve your bingo card by calling 630-440-6041. This bingo game is a fundraiser for the Healing Hands Mission. Dinner and a cash bar will be provided by Abby's Breakfast and Lunch, so you will go home full even if you don't win a prize. That means I don't want to hear any complaining! Call fast--this is already a popular game!"
