Our dancers had SO much fun in class last night with visiting artist Leandra Groth Mulcahy! The energy in the studio was incredible, and it was so fun to watch our dancers let loose, take chances, and truly break out of their shells. 🔥

From start to finish, there were big smiles, big energy, and lots of dancing! We’re so grateful to Leandra for bringing her energy, creativity, and joy to YDA. 🤍

Our YDA Dance Wear Resale is back, and we have SO much to shop this year!

The resale is a fundraiser for our competitive families, and we have a huge selection of dance wear available, including dance shoes, warm-ups, crop tops, leggings, dance clothes, and so much more!

You’ll have three opportunities to shop before the new dance season begins:

Wednesday, September 9 | 5:00–8:00 PM
During YDA Open House

Thursday, September 10 | 4:30–7:30 PM

Friday, September 11 | 4:30–7:30 PM

Friday, September 11 is the FINAL NIGHT of the Dance Wear Resale! Once classes begin on Saturday, the resale will be packed up and shopping will be closed for the season.

We have LOTS to look through, so be sure to stop in, find some great deals, and support our competitive families at the same time!

Last week, we were thrilled to welcome back Hannah Baumgarten and Diego Salterini for another incredible summer intensive at Young Dance Academy! ✨

We are so fortunate to have Hannah and Diego join us each year, sharing their invaluable experience and challenging our dancers across several days of ballet, modern, jazz, and contemporary classes.

Our dancers also had the opportunity to experience the importance of taking class with live accompaniment from Paul Westfahl - developing musicality, listening skills, and the ability to truly connect movement with music. 🎶

Looking back to July! ✨ Two of our Technique Intensive dancers took the stage at different National Finals events, representing YDA beautifully and giving their solos one final performance for the season.

🌟 Bella attended the NYCDA National Finals in Phoenix, AZ, where she competed her solo and also participated in the NYCDA college scholarship auditions. We’re so excited that she received several awards recognizing future opportunities!

🌟 Jack traveled to Las Vegas for the Press Play National Finals, where he also performed his solo one last time for the season. A special shoutout to Jack for being named one of the Top 21 Teen Male Artists of the Year! 👏

We’re incredibly proud of both Bella and Jack and all the hard work, dedication, and artistry they brought to the stage throughout the season. Congratulations on a fantastic finish! 💙
