The End of the Rodeo Trail 2026

The season wrapped up on the dirt in Pleasanton over the Labor Day weekend. Always a terrific committee to work with! Maybe a little hot (or maybe a lot hot) didn’t stop this rodeo committee from pulling off a well run, great show!
A fond farewell to JR Clouse who fought his last rodeo Sunday night. Our best wishes to you our friend. Hope all the fish are biting at the pond you’re at 🎣
A belated birthday shout out to our oldest girl’s best girl and favorite queen Sydney Holmes who celebrated her birthday Sunday 🥳

To all our friends and sponsors who supported us throughout the year.. the biggest THANK YOU!

Kilgore NE
August 28 & 29

Two great days-
Two great events!
Bordertown steakhouse & saloon along with Hawk Rodeo hosted the inaugural Mayhem on the Border featuring bull riding on Friday night and ranch broncs on Saturday. A terrific turnout both days with about 20 riders on Friday and 25 riders on Saturday. Look forward to the growth of this awesome local event!
On to our final rodeo next weekend in Pleasanton 🤠

Bob McKay
August 24, 2026

Every Spring the phone would ring at our house ..it was time to catch up with Bob. Talks about the Summers rodeos and bull ridings, bucking stock, the weather and family- it was a fine line between his family and ours as he and his family was considered Duane’s summer family. From bumming a cigarette to his dry whit and steady tone- Bob was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed. Ride on cowboy- you’ve left an irreplaceable legacy.
Condolences to the McKay family. Our hearts are with you
