🎭 Introducing MWR’s New Performing Arts Series! 🩰

Come one, come all! Montrose West Recreation is excited to offer two opportunities to experience live theatre and dance this October. Adults and children alike are invited, whether you’re 8 or 88!

🎭 Saturday, October 3 — The Comedy of Errors

Our Performing Arts Series begins with one of Shakespeare’s funniest comedies at Colorado Mesa University’s Asteria Theatre!

When two sets of identical twins, separated during a childhood shipwreck, unknowingly arrive in the same city, the result is pure chaos! Strangers are mistaken for husbands, servants are blamed for errands they never received, and the confusion grows so wild that everyone begins questioning what is real.

Fast-paced, delightfully silly, and especially child-friendly, The Comedy of Errors is a wonderful introduction to live theatre for audiences ages 8 and older.

Registration fee: $30

🩰 Sunday, October 11 — Firebird and Peter and the Wolf

Next, we’ll travel to the Montrose Pavilion for a professional ballet performance by Colorado West Ballet!

🐺 Peter and the Wolf brings Peter, his animal friends, and the fearsome wolf to life through dance, narration, and music.

🔥 Firebird follows Prince Ivan and the magical Firebird as they work together to defeat an evil sorcerer and free the captive princesses.

Registration fee: $40
