Please understand I have 5 children and family i needed to speak with. I met with surgeons yesterday and underwent 2 needle biopsies. Surgeon was concerned about a hernia caused by surgery in January. Real issue is 2 masses found 1 in colon.Unfortunately I will be having surgery next week expecting to take 8 to12 weeks to recover. So festival is canceled I will do my best to reach out and get refunds on the way. I apologize but please try to understand this month I have had a mild heart attack due to broken heart syndrome and a mini stroke. I am barely hanging on it's difficult to talk when you can't quit crying. Best to all. Good thoughts are appreciated.

I would like to update everyone that I had a consultation with my oncologist on Thursday evening after having a CAT scan on Monday. As a five-year breast cancer survivor, I received disappointing news. I am scheduled to meet with the surgeon on Wednesday, and surgery is likely to be performed soon after. I am working to arrange for trustworthy support to manage my tasks, as I will be physically and mentally incapacitated. I am doing what I can to avoid cancelling any commitments. However my health requires urgent attention.

Today's Journey to Memphis Competitor Spotlight.
(Presented in random order)

Alex Martin brings a lifetime of dedication to blues and roots music to the Journey to Memphis stage. A singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Alex blends deep knowledge of acoustic blues traditions with soul, electric blues, and Americana influences gathered through years studying music in Boston and performing professionally in Los Angeles. His performances move effortlessly from Delta slide guitar to soulful ballads, delivered with authenticity, emotional depth, and masterful musicianship. Over the years, he has shared stages with artists including Honeyboy Edwards, Canned Heat, Tinsley Ellis, Trombone Shorty, and many more.

Tim Connor performs intricate fingerstyle blues guitar and writes songs rooted firmly in the blues tradition while weaving in touches of jazz, soul, and modern folk. Influenced by artists like Lightnin’ Hopkins, Big Bill Broonzy, and Blind Willie McTell, Tim’s music explores the emotional complexities of life and love with subtlety, warmth, and occasional humor. A longtime presence in the Pacific Northwest music scene, he has performed at bars, coffeehouses, and festivals throughout the region.

Catch them live at Journey to Memphis Round One:
Sunday, June 7 at Mekong Bistro

The public is encouraged to attend. A $5–$15 suggested donation helps support judges, sound production, and event costs.

Maybe in Illinois however any loss of a live music venue is devastating.😢

Maybe in Illinois however any loss of a live music venue is devastating.😢

Due to numerous factors, it is with a heavy heart that we are canceling our music events. We want to thank the hundreds of amazing musical artists that performed here at our place. We also want to thank Wally Elliott from Toga Talent Agency whom, we spent hours and hours together helping us put those events together. Also special thanks to our good friend and sound guy, Pepe. Both great men who care deeply about The Warehouse on Park and more importantly the music.

We will be hosting a fundraiser event on Sunday July 12th for our son & his family, we hope you will all come out for a day of music and support! We will be posting more info in the coming days.

We will still be open for hosting private parties if interested call 224-230-2661 or email us at [email protected]
