We had a great mini workshop today at my dance studio. The dances that were taught were; Cyber Drop - taught by Jamie Wylie, 1 + 1 - taught by Tina Foster, Throwback Song - taught by Theresa Bagavandoss, and Sun on a Black Sky - taught by Dee Blansett. Other dances and reviews were; Cold Heart, The Vibe, Blessed, Beautiful Goodbye, Bad Habits, Wonderland Waltz, L.i.L.Y., Raised LIke that, Shivers, 85, Love Grows, Little Red Corvette, Dive Right In, Country In 3, Sweet Attraction, Suda and H.O.L.Y. Our next mini workshop is scheduled for May 14th at 2:00-6:00. We'll review all the dances taught today and dance to many more too!!

Sandy’s Dance Studio Newsletter

Hello All Dancers!!
Turkey Day is finally almost here!!!! Hope that everyone enjoys the day with family and close friends!! My sons and grandkids & sister & some friends are joining us this year again at my studio. The adults get to talk & eat in peace, while the grandkids stay in the dance area to play games etc. (Adult room – in back, Kids room in front!!) Works out good for everyone!! This year I bought a junior ping pong table to set up for the kids to try out…….I’ll bet some of the adults will be trying it out as well!!!!!! (I know my sons love to interact with the kids!!) As long as no one gets hit by accident by a paddle, we’ll be good!!

Mary Harwood’s Event Coming up November 28th:

SPECIAL EVENT TURKEY TROT DANCE SOCIAL SUNDAY NOV 28TH:

Due to Covid and booking issues, I haven't had a dance social in 2 years. I was going to pass again this year, but many have urged me to have one, so here goes: I realize this might be a bad date for some, but others are excited to attend: Nov 28 at Springvale Ballroom N Olmsted from 2-5. Bring a snack/covered dish to share. Cost is $7 for dancers and $3 for watchers & cookie eaters. Please feel free to invite your dancing friends. Bring your own water please, and DO NOT arrive too early, as I won't open the doors until 1:30. We will dance ALL LEVELS of dance. First 90 minutes format will be: 3 beginner, 1 improver/intermediate and 1 country. I will do quick walk throughs for the first hour or so.
Many have asked if again this year we are d**g our coat drive. The lady who I worked with for this is no longer doing it. However, if enough of you are interested, we can make up " care bags" to donate to the City Mission. I will have more info on this next week. You would fill up a bag with personal care items: deodorant, tooth paste, body wash, socks, that type of thing. I will elaborate on this next week for those interested.
I hope to see some of you there!!!!! Linda & I are planning on going as long as the weather holds!!!!!!!!

Details: Doors open at 2:00, 3 Sessions $4 each session or $10 for all three sessions, wear red and green, bring your own beverage & snacks……….Have A Great Time!!!!

I would also like to have a Christmas Party this year.
I’m having it on Saturday the 18th of December, 2:00 – 6:00. Please let me know if that would, or would not work for you. I would like to know how many to plan for. Thank You!!
I’ve decided to have my Christmas Party at my studio again this year, since I have not received enough response to hold it at a larger venue. I’m asking everyone to bring a dish to share & the cost will be $5 this year. We will be having a $5- $10 gift exchange again for those interested in participating, and we will be doing the CLR game again w/ 3 scratch off lottery tickets/or 3 - $1 bills.(your choice) Hope to see You there!!!!

Monday Nights: - Beginner/Improver, 7:00 - 9:00, $5 per person, snacks provided.
11-15-21: Review; We are reviewing all dances that are needed & doing some favorites:
Lonely drum, Where Oh Where, Fancy Like, Cold Heart, Senorita La La La,
Havana, Champagne Promise etc…

Wednesday Nights: – Improver/Intermediates, 7:00 – 9:00, $5 per person, snacks provided.
No class this week…………………..

Saturday Afternoons: – Mostly Circuit Dances, 2:00 – 4:00, $5 per person, snacks provided.
Mary Hewitt and I were the only ones dancing this last Saturday. Theresa had some water issues etc. to deal with at home. Hope all is better now Theresa!!
Mary taught me “And I Say” by Gary O’Reilly this week. Great teach Mary!!!! You were awesome!! We also went over Cyber Drop and talked about others that we wanted to do too. We danced to 1159 (remember that oldie by Rachael??) After Mary left to go home I went on the internet to look at some of the dances we talked about sooooooo…..here’s some others that we will be doing soon!! Had an awesome class last night with some reviews of the most current dances taught such as Sleepy Eyes, All the Same (AKA "We Danced") and others. Then I taught Havana Cha by Ria Vos. Fun dance with great music and an enthusiastic responce from the class. Great night of dancing!!!🤗😍

We had another great night of dancing tonight & a full house!! We celebrated Pat Kremiller's birthday tonight too. We reviewed, "All Katchi, All Night Long", the dance"Bored" for our new people and "Lonely Drum". We also danced many requests and had a grand time!!!! What a great group of dancers I have!!!!
I'm offically starting a Thursday night class again, starting next week (October 26th) first hour beginners, second hour to an hour and a half for improver/intermediates. It's a good time for beginners that want to learn to line dance. We are starting with the basics and gradually working our way into the improver level. It's great exercise and a whole lot of fun!!!! Always looking for new dancers!!! :)
