Mary Ann Roach Butkovich graduated from Saint Mary’s College with a degree in art with further study at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and the University of Cincinnati. She has participated in numerous solo and group shows including the University of Dayton, Dayton, OH, Bowling GreenUniversity, Bowling Green, OH, Miami University, Oxford, OH, the Cincinnati Art Museum and The Contemporary Art Center in Cincinnati, OH. Her work is included in numerous corporate and privatecollections.

Art is oxygen for the soul. Her inspiration comes from nature, music and whatever jolts the creative process. The wonderful experience of learning about the sensual, tactile, vibrant way that paint works opens a whole new creative adventure in the studio every day. Helen Frankenthaler, Paul Jenkins and Morris Louis are favorites, a real change from her favorite in high school, Maurice
Utrillo.

Anne Lindberg grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and is currently a visual artist living and working in Wilmington, North Carolina. A painter primarily, Anne has exhibited nationally at galleries and museums including the NIU Art Museum, Des Lee Gallery in St. Louis, the Foundry Art Center in St. Louis, and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in St. Louis.

Anne is an associate professor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She holds a Master’s Degree in Visual Art from the Sam Fox School at Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana.

Join us on Friday, December 5th from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm for a reception for an exhibition by Natasha Giles Somerville in the Moreau Gallery at Saint Mary's College. Natasha is an assistant professor of painting at IUSB and is exhibiting a wonderful series of paintings and drawings.
