The Woods

The Woods My new business, "The Woods", will begin in the Autumn of 2014 at indoor Farmer's Markets. I will sell homemade paper, stationary & cards.

All of my paper, stationary and cards will be created from recycled products and will include things from nature, especially wild flowers from my garden this Summer. Each of my of my creations will be unique. With the cards, I plan on doing birthdays and holidays. Most importantly, all of it will be pretty and all of it will be fun!

My wild flowers, for my homemade paper, are growing! I can hardly wait to see them bloom!

MY NANA INSPIRES AGAIN!
My grandmother inspired my first business, my dance studio, and now she's inspiring my second fun, later-in-life business, "The Woods"!
I am making homemade paper, stationary and cards. All of it is
being created from recycled materials and things from nature, like my grandmother's flowers below.
Her 50 year old garden grew like crazy this year and has already produced more than 25 flowers, with more on the way!

Thank you, nana! xoxo

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is pressed
Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
~Joyce Kilmer

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be and that God wishes to see people happy, amidst the simple beauty of nature.

God is the friend of silence.
Trees, flowers, grass grow in silence.
We need silence in order to be able to touch souls.

2) The soil tilled and seeds planted...
3) The seeds watered and ready to germinate!
The wild flowers that grow here will be used as materials for some of my homemade paper; making the paper more earthy and more beautiful!
