Wide Sky Arts Collective of Norwood Wide Sky Arts Collective is a Non Profit Organization under the direction of Norwood Park and Recrea of Norwood.

Our organization became an official 501(c)3 non-profit in July 2009, then known as Arts, Community, Education (A.C.E.) It sprang from a coming-together of local people who value the opportunities for creativity and the enrichment that music, art, theater, and dance bring to a community. Being a membership-driven and volunteer-supported group, the focus has been a kaleidoscope of events, programs,

and activities over the years. Artist workshops, live music, a Renaissance Fair, movie nights, dance classes, Art in the Garden. But what really brings the group together is having a real STAGE, with lights, sound, and seating for up to 120 people at The Livery in Norwood. Shakespeare for kids, community musicals, and dramatic plays have come alive there through ACE-of-Norwood programs, now known as Wide Sky Arts Collective of Norwood (WSAC). In February 2020, the organization became part of the Norwood Park and Recreation District (NPRD), which manages the Livery Playhouse. Public Art and Live Music have energized local citizens recently. With member support, there will be more to come.....

Scenes from "Love's Labors Lost" this past weekend at Ouray's Wright Opera House by No Holds Bard. Their mission since 2006 is to perform “Shakespeare as he intended it.” Notice the small scrolls in the actor's hands? Within are that actor's lines. Sometimes the scrolls become a prop, useful for pointing at things or bopping someone on the head. Of it comes a truly unique performance.

We're sad that the Mural Workshop with Mike McPuff had to be cancelled (unavoidable circumstances for the instructor), but not to worry -- we will find a way to add creativity and color to the Norwood Community Garden's water tank.
Perhaps a collab with NPS, or artist-design and community-execute?
