Norwood Day is only THREE days away!

We can’t wait to come together and celebrate Norwood and everything that makes our town such a special place.

If you haven’t picked up your Norwood Day button yet, there’s still time! Buttons are for sale at the Civic Center, Town Hall, Senior Center, and Library. Buttons will also be available for purchase on the day of the event.

We’re looking forward to another great Norwood Day. See you Saturday!

Hawes Pool is officially closed for the 2026 season!

We want to thank all of our residents for their patience and understanding, especially at the beginning of the season as we worked through some unexpected challenges. We truly appreciate your support and were happy to see so many people enjoying the pool once we were able to open for the summer.

A huge thank you to our lifeguards, pool tag checkers, pool maintenance staff, and Aquatics Director for all of their hard work throughout the season. We appreciate everything they did to keep Hawes Pool safe and clean.

While the pool is closed, there is still a little more summer left at the Splash Pad! The Splash Pad will remain open daily from 12:00 PM–5:00 PM through Friday, August 28th.

Thank you for a great season, and we’re already looking forward to next year!

We are officially two weeks away from Norwood’s biggest event of the year!

Norwood Day is right around the corner, and we’re getting ready for another great day celebrating everything that makes our community so special. From live entertainment and activities to food, rides, games, trolley rides and plenty more, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Make sure you grab your Norwood Day button and come out on Saturday, August 29 for a great day with friends, family and the Norwood community. We can’t wait to see everyone there!

Week 8✅
Color Wars was an absolute blast this week. There were epic games of kickball, gaga ball and four corners. Shout out to our Counselors of the Week: Emma, Ally, John and Norah. Thank you to all of the amazing kids that have spent the last two months hanging out with us. It really was the best summer ever!

Our Fall/Winter Program Guide is now LIVE!

As we head into a new season, take a look at all of the programs, activities, and opportunities the Norwood Recreation Department has to offer. Whether you’re looking to stay active, try something new, or find an activity for the whole family, we hope you find something that suits you.

Registration opens Tuesday, August 25 at 9:00 AM.
Residents will receive hard copies of the guide in the mail within the next week. Programs will be visible on MyRec shortly as well.

As we approach the halfway point of August, our seasonal staff are starting to head back to school and into their fall schedules. With that, we wanted to share a quick update on our pools.

Father Mac’s Pool will have its last day of the season this Sunday, August 16th.

Hawes Pool will remain open through at least Sunday, August 23rd, while the Splash Pad will remain open through at least Labor Day weekend.

A big thank you to all of our seasonal staff for their hard work this summer. The lifeguards pictured here, along with our pool maintenance staff and tag checkers, have played a huge role in keeping our pools and splash pad safe, clean, and welcoming for the community all summer long.

If you haven’t made it out yet, there’s still plenty of summer left to enjoy!

Week 7 ✅
Character Week was hot but fun. Trips to Launch and Water Wizz cooled us off but the highlight was the annual Foam Day with the Norwood Fire Department. Congrats to our Counselors of the Week: Cam, Bridget, Katie and Tyler. Shout out to our Campers of the Week! Sad to say there is only one week left🥲.
