A NATIONAL CHAMPION!!!
I am so unbelievably proud of this girl. The resilience, determination, and strength (physical and mental) she has shown this season is truly remarkable.
She puts in the work day in and day out even when things are hard. Even on the days she doesn’t want to. Even when I ask her to try a spin we’ve never seen before that I just made up in my head 😂 And even when I ask her to do back to back long programs, she does it. No complaints. No excuses. She does it with a positive attitude and unbelievable grit.
It has not been an easy season for her — she’s been through ankle surgery, transitioning to a new club, and dealing with many other unexpected changes & circumstances right in the middle of her competitive season, and still ended up on the top of the national podium despite it all. If this level of perseverance & heart isn’t the mark of a true champion, I don’t know what is. All I can say is if there is one person who deserves this, it is this girl ☝️
Piper — I will always be proud to stand by the boards for you NO MATTER WHAT the outcome. I love you like my own child and it makes me SO happy to see your hard work pay off like this. So congratulate yourself and take it all in. You deserve this. You’re the senior ladies Excel National Champion!!! 🥹💙
