We’re very excited to announce that we’re are now in residence at Chestnut Street Playhouse, where we will be producing our upcoming production of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Chestnut Street Playhouse Announces Collaboration with New England Studio Theatre for Upcoming Production of Hamlet
Chestnut Street Playhouse is proud to announce a new collaboration with New England Studio Theatre for an upcoming production of Shakespeare’s "Hamlet".
This production is produced by New England Studio Theatre in residence at Chestnut Street Playhouse.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to making theatre accessible, engaging, and relevant to the local community.
New England Studio Theatre is led by Artistic Director Michael Hinton and Managing Director Kristin Allegrezza, the team behind Chestnut Street Playhouse’s box office smash of "A Few Good Men".
Hinton, Director and Assistant Professor of Theatre at CT State Community College Tunxis, has worked throughout New England, New York, and the UK as an actor, director, and educator, appearing in more than 30 Shakespeare productions.
Allegrezza brings more than 40 years of professional theatre experience, including regional theatre, national tours, and Broadway productions including Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, and Beauty and the Beast.
Together, Chestnut Street Playhouse and New England Studio Theatre aim to create productions that welcome both longtime theatre lovers and first-time audiences by presenting works of literary and cultural significance in a way that is immediate, human, and accessible.
