⭐️ Calling all fabric artists, hobbyists, and casual enjoyers!! ⭐️
At Lights Out’s Community Art Nite on Sunday June 28th, we are hosting a Yarn Bombing Workshop in collaboration with Fiber & Vine where we will work together to learn about guerilla knitting/crocheting and creating a community art installation of colorful and whimsical yarn designs along the Main Street of Norway, Maine for the 2026 Norway Maine Arts Festival.
Knowledge of crocheting, knitting, and sewing will be helpful but, if you’re unfamiliar, please feel free to come help, learn and socialize, your creativity and support is needed!
💛 Knitters, bring a set or two of needles, size range 8-17
💛 Crocheters, bring a few hooks, size range G-Q
💛 Everyone, bring scissors and a bag to bring home yarn to work with!
Limited knitting needles, crochet hooks, scissors, and sewing needles will be provided by Fiber & Vine so if you have your own and are able to bring them, that would be helpful!
We’re still receiving donations for yarn bombing materials including:
💛 Yarn (any kind, any color)
💛Unused swatches
💛 UFOs (unfinished projects)
💛 Wool sweaters with holes in them
💛 Any kind of yarn based product!
You can drop off donations either at Lights Out or Fiber & Vine.
