CCP's mission is to support, preserve, and advance the art of original prints. We are both an art gallery and a printmaking studio.

Located in Mathews Park at 299 West Ave, Norwalk, CT 06850 The Center for Contemporary Printmaking (CCP) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the art of the print: intaglio, lithography, monotype, silkscreen, woodblock printing, paper works, book arts, and digital arts. CCP is a unique cultural resource, a place to discover, to experiment, to learn. The entire spectrum of printmaking arts is here to be explored through workshops, edition printing with master printers, exhibitions, community programs, and an Artist-in-Residence Program. The Center for Contemporary Printmaking mission is to support, preserve, and advance the art of original prints.

Sunday marked Day 1 of our 2026 MONOTHON Print Week! It's our 27th year of montype printmaking together in the studios, and we're so grateful to everyone who comes together to make this annual celebration possible.

Every MONOTHON brings new ideas, unexpected moments, and plenty of incredible contemporary printmaking. We can't wait to see what this week brings!

🖼️ A Founder’s Feast: Highlights from the Andrew Stasik Archive
Celebrating the work of Andrew Stasik, who helped found the Center for Contemporary Printmaking in 1995, this exhibition highlights recurring forms and motifs from his decades-long printmaking practice.

Both exhibitions are free and open to the public. Stop by the galleries and experience these two unique perspectives on printmaking this Fall!

This Sunday, September 13: The Boston Printmakers’ Perspectives: America at 250 opens at the Center for Contemporary Printmaking!

Join us this Sunday, September 13, from 2–4 PM for the opening reception of "A Founder’s Feast: Highlights from the Andrew Stasik Archive."

Andrew Stasik (b. 1932) was a printmaker, educator, arts leader, and one of the founding figures behind the Center for Contemporary Printmaking. Alongside Grace Ross Shanley and Michael Costello, he helped establish the organization in 1995, leaving a lasting legacy in the printmaking community.

A Founder’s Feast brings together a selection of works from the Andrew Stasik Archive, tracing the recurring forms and motifs that shaped his artistic practice over several decades. Houses, flowers, vessels, tables, and geometric forms move between abstraction and representation as Stasik explores color, shape, memory, and the possibilities of printmaking.

Come see these works in person and celebrate the legacy of one of the Center for Contemporary Printmaking’s founders.

We are thrilled to share that Center for Contemporary Printmaking Executive Director Kimberly Henrikson has been selected as a 2026 Arts and Architecture Alumni Award recipient by Penn State’s College of Arts and Architecture!

Kimberly, who graduated from Penn State in 1998 with a B.A. in Art History, is being recognized for her career achievements and contributions to the arts. She is celebrating her 10th year leading CCP, bringing more than 25 years of experience across the nonprofit, museum, technology, and fine art printmaking communities to her work in arts leadership and cultural engagement.

Beyond CCP, Kimberly is an active advocate for the arts, serving on the board of directors of the Print Club of New York, chairing the national advisory council for the Palmer Museum of Art at Penn State, and serving on the advisory board of The Norwalk Art Space

We are incredibly proud to see Kimberly recognized for her leadership and longstanding commitment to the arts. Congratulations, Kimberly!

The 2026 Arts and Architecture Alumni Awards will be presented on October 1 at Penn State’s Downtown Theatre Center in State College.

HIGH SCHOOL ARTISTS: APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN!

The Grace Ross Shanley Fellowship Program gives high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to learn printmaking directly from professional artists while developing their skills, portfolios, and creative voices.

The program is fully funded, with no cost to students, and includes:
• Hands-on instruction in etching, lithography, monotype, woodcut, and screenprint (all materials provided)
• Portfolio development for college or art school applications
• Opportunities to exhibit student work
• Experience working in a professional printmaking studio
• Connections with fellow young artists and professional printmakers

Apply Now - Program starts September 14 and meets after school on Mondays throughout the academic year.

Students entering their junior year will also have the opportunity to participate for a second year and develop an independent project.
