Us, when we hear you have a donor-advised fund.

October 8 is DAF Day. If you have a donor-advised fund, that money is already set aside for charity. You took the deduction when you funded it, and all it needs now is a recommendation from you.

Log in to Fidelity Charitable, DAFgiving360, Vanguard Charitable or wherever your fund lives. Search for Thrown Stone Theatre Company (EIN 81-1683094) and pick an amount. There’s no minimum. On most sponsors’ sites it takes about two minutes.

Your grant pays playwrights to write new plays, and then we put those plays onstage in Connecticut.

New work is essential.

In the early 2000s, some major U.S. theatres dedicated spaces in their buildings to producing new work by new playwrights. Where are those programs—and those writers—now?
