JAM, Junior Art & Music Jam's mission is to provide a creative haven where artists and musicians, young and old, can hone and share their craft with the community. www.jamstudioct.org

The Jam Studio partners with local organizations to provide process oriented art and music programs for the underserved. Jam empowers youth and parents to use art and music as an education and literacy tool. On weekdays, we are open by appointment only. Weekdays are reserved for our outreach. We are open on Saturdays to the general public and for special events. Please visit our website for more information.

This past Sunday I had the honor to be a judge at The First Annual Battle of the Jam. There were approximately 35 submissions which were narrowed down to 12 diverse performances, mostly original music at an incredible venue. A huge turnout of fans, approximately 250 people cheering on their friends and family. Well done and for putting on a great show and showcasing our local youth. Excited to sit as a judge and be part of the audience for the 1st Annual Battle of the Jam this Sunday, March 1st. There were approx 35 submissions, narrowed down to a dozen performers. I’ve known these musicians since they were kids. had his first sleepover at our house and I believe first met at our Norwalk studio during an open jam session. All incredible musicians always striving to be better and collaborating to share their passion. Honored to have them continue their journey through PorchJam

Bittersweet handoff of PorchJam to Rowayton Civic Association today. I know it’s been a different process this year but hopefully it will help sustain an event that brings a community together surrounding music while supporting our local art & music programs in desperate need.
