Tipping Point Theatre is a professional theatre located in Downtown Northville. Looking forward to seeing you “at the Point!”

The Tipping Point is that one dramatic moment in an epidemic when everything can change all at once…and we’ve reached it in a BIG way! From operating as a “vagabond” theatre company under the umbrella of the Parks and Recreation department, performing in any empty space we could get our hands on and paying actors with smiles and applause – we opened in 2007 with big changes – tipping point changes

! Incorporated as a professional, non-profit 501(c)3 organization in the state of Michigan, Tipping Point Theatre opened its doors as a professional Equity theatre company in our new permanent facility in downtown Northville. TPT is currently under the artistic direction of Julia Glander and lead by Board President Heather Bell. Join us in fulfilling our mission by continued participation as an audience member, actor, designer, donor and advocate for theatre in Michigan.

APING JANE by Aurora Real de Asua is now in rehearsals at Tipping Point Theatre! Our set is slowly transforming an interactive hands-on museum, with hidden compartments and all the bells and whistles to transport our audience through England to Gombe and back.

Improv comedy returns to Tipping Point Theatre! Back by popular demand, the cast of Squatters Writes will take over the TPT stage for another evening of improvised comedy.

Based on audience suggestions, the eight-person cast of veteran actors and improvisers will create a fully improvised two-act play. The play will use the existing stage, set, props, and lighting of TPT's production of Aping Jane, but here's the catch... the cast won't see what any of it looks like until the night of the performance!

What will happen? Who knows! The only way to find out is by joining us on Wednesday, October 7th at 7:30pm! Tickets are $35 each. Will sell out, get your seats today!

THE BREAK by Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond
June 2-27 | A new comedy musical about two young, star-crossed lovers who take a thirty-day break in an attempt to save their relationship.

Ever since Charlie and Samantha met in college, they knew that they were meant to be together. But as they approach their tenth anniversary, the two have found themselves at a crossroads. If they’re so in love, why haven’t they tied the knot? As they begin to confront what they’ve avoided for nearly a decade, they devise a plan to save their relationship: a thirty-day break. In this comedic new musical by Michael Kooman and Chris Dimond, we ponder what sleeping with strangers can teach us about ourselves.

Fresh off its Broadway run, this quietly devastating play by Jordan Harrison blurs the line between human and robot.
