If you participated last year and plan to enroll for 2026 OR if you have already enrolled for 2026 and do not meet the age limit you can still participate in Summer 2026.

Letter from Professor Dan Weingarten, CSUN Theatre Department Chair regarding the transition of TADW Leadership.

Dear Friend of TADW,

I am writing to share the news that Garry Lennon has decided to step down from his position as Executive Director of Teenage Drama Workshop. Garry began early retirement as part of CSUN’s FERP Program in Fall 2024.

We are beyond grateful for Garry’s years of service to TADW. After inheriting the program in 2017 Garry guided TADW through the COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges with ease and grace. He has nurtured and fostered an amazing community of artists and students that is the thriving TADW we know today. We will miss Garry immensely and we wish him only the best in this next chapter.

TADW is excited to announce that Eric White will be assuming the new role of Program Director effective immediately. Eric is the full-time Marketing & PR Associate in the Department of Theatre and has been a long time TADW administrator. He brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for the program into this new role. Having worked closely alongside Garry the past seven years, Eric has been instrumental in helping create the TADW you know and love. His relationship with the program began in 2016. Since then, he has served in multiple capacities including directing Hammered: A Thor and Loki Play, Shrek The Musical, Jr and The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition.

This program is the longest running workshop of its kind in the nation, and we have full confidence that TADW will continue strong and see a bright future! We are excited for Summer 2025 and all the amazing programming in store.
