Opera Night, Long Island (ONLI) is a nonprofit organization providing the Island’s only live opera series. Our professional, classically trained conservatory singers perform excerpts from opera, operetta, art songs, and musical theater with piano accompaniment. ONLI presents monthly programs and is under the direction of Isabella Eredita Johnson.

Our next performance is September 12, 2025 at "Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Huntington Auditorium: 109 Browns Road, Huntington, New York 11743

Doors open at 7:00 p.m., and the program begins at 7:30pm. There is a $10.00 donation at the door, (students free).

The September 12th program features exciting excerpts from popular operas such as Verdi's "Il Trovatore;" Leoncavallo's "Pagliacci;" Bellini's "La Sonnambula;" Mozart's "Don Giovanni and Le Nozze di Figaro;" Rossini's "La Cenerentola;" and Bizet's "Carmen." We include arias and art songs by J.S. Bach, Ernesto DeCurtis, Emmerich Kalman and Jake Heggie. The musical theater excerpts are Rodgers & Hammerstein's "Carousel," and Stephen Sondheim's "Company."



Our MC, Steven Lohlein provides short narratives during the program. Opera Night Long Island's mission is to foster the appreciation of opera by providing affordable live opera of the highest caliber with established professional singers and pianists to Long Island audiences.
