Synopsis:
Withering Violets, a devised theater adaptation of William Shakespeare's Hamlet, looks closely at the story of Ophelia, Hamlet's rejected lover. Influenced by Shakespeare's poetical alignment of Ophelia with the natural world, our company reframes the rotten world of Denmark into a powerful corporation, whose exploitative methods have begun to eat away at both the environment and the life of Ophelia. Withering Violets seeks to reimagine Shakespeare's classic, exploring how this world of corruption, patriarchy and greed pollutes the body and mind of a young woman, our mother earth.

Hi everyone,
I have an exciting announcement from the Theater Department! Next weekend is the premiere of the Carleton Player's Production of A Midsummer Night's Dream! This is our first-ever socially-distant live-streamed show! We can't wait for you all to experience this brilliant cast and their hilariously fun work :)
