A touch of the French Riviera came to Chicago as Alliance Française de Chicago welcomed guests to its elegant black-tie gala, BIARRITZ LE BAL, at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. Inspired by the glamour of Biarritz, the evening brought together nearly 350 guests for a celebration of French culture, philanthropy, and art.
The evening honored Jeffrey and Carol Horvitz with the Prix de l'Alliance Française of Chicago in recognition of their extraordinary gift of French Old Master paintings to the Art Institute of Chicago. Auctioneer Alyssa Quinlan energized the room with a lively and successful live auction, helping cap off a memorable night in support of Alliance Française's mission.

Cheers to 40 years! Chicago Shakespeare Theater celebrated its milestone 40th Anniversary with the dazzling Revel in Ruby Gala, raising $1.3 million to support the theater's artistic productions, education programs, and community engagement initiatives.
More than 350 leaders from Chicago's civic and cultural community gathered for an unforgettable evening featuring elegant dining, inspiring performances, heartfelt tributes, and dancing into the night. Guests were even surprised by remarks from Governor JB Pritzker, while the theater honored longtime artists and civic champions with its prestigious Spirit of Shakespeare Awards.

The evening included signature cocktails and bourbon tastings while the music was led by Magoo. Special thanks to co-chairs, Michele Curley and Katie Salgat, the Associate Board, and the event sponsors, PCA, Knauz, Chalet and City of Hope. 100 percent of the event proceeds benefit Lake Forest Open Lands.

JUF Women’s Philanthropy hosted their annual Spring Event at Hilton Chicago. This year’s event featured Idan Amedi, Israeli singer-songwriter, musician, and star of Fauda, in a moderated conversation with Samantha Ettus, best-selling author and Jewish activist. The event was attended by more than 550 women and raised nearly $500,000 to support JUF’s annual campaign, which provides life-saving services and life-enriching experiences for 500,000 Chicagoans of all faiths and Jews worldwide.

More than 300 guests gathered at Exmoor Country Club for the sold-out 29th Annual Myra Rubenstein Weis Luncheon, raising vital funds to support community cancer care and survivorship programs. Founded in memory of Myra Rubenstein Weis, the annual event benefits the Myra Rubenstein Weis Health Resource Center at Highland Park Hospital, providing free health education, support services, and life-changing initiatives throughout the region.
The afternoon honored Dr. Matthew Adess for his compassionate, patient-first approach to cancer care, while Dr. David Dickerson shared inspiring insights as the featured speaker. Congratulations to the Myra Rubenstein Weis Executive Committee and everyone who helped make this meaningful day such a success.

The Lake Forest Academy community gathered in April to support campus life and student well-being at Gala 2026: Heart of Campus, raising funds for new faculty housing. Faculty shape the student experience far beyond the classroom—teaching, mentoring, coaching, and living alongside students—providing around-the-clock guidance to a community of 450 young people. Led by alumni co-chairs Leland and Jenny Brewster, alongside Alicia Cressey and Tony Ward, and parent co-chairs David Huang and Diana Qiu with Sara and Brian Lewis, the evening featured dinner, a student performance, and a spirited paddle raise. Proceeds will enable LFA to begin construction on new faculty housing this summer.

The Dragonfly Foundation raised nearly $250,000 at its fifth annual benefit, held at Joe’s Live Rosemont. Led by Executive Director Jessica Merar, the organization’s Chicago chapter supports pediatric cancer patients and their families across eight local hospitals by meeting day-to-day needs, fostering community, and providing moments of strength, courage, and joy. The event funds patient programming by raising both awareness and critical resources to sustain Dragonfly’s mission. Chaired by Laura Nessel, the benefit welcomed more than 350 supporters and 45 sponsors, including Wintrust, DINX Social Club, Clayco, and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Guests enjoyed an anniversary celebration featuring exceptional cuisine by Lettuce Entertain You, stunning décor by Epic Events, and high-energy entertainment from Rush Street Rhythm.

Featuring student-grown plants, handmade garden crafts, local vendors, face painting, and interactive activities, the event showcased student learning and garden programs throughout the district. Proceeds support school gardens and hands-on environmental education.
