As promised…… on their way to the bisque kiln🤗

It had been “a minute” since I’ve created anything in my studio. A hip injury and then surgery and rehab kept me away for many months. And I wondered if the Muse had left for more fertile grounds!
AND I’m happy to report that she has returned🤗 Maybe with new and different designs??

“Hold on, I’m coming…” 😘

Paradise City Arts Festival 2026

A large piece cracked a little in the glaze fire. There is a Japanese method of repairing ceramics, rather than discarding them, called “Kintsugi”. In this method, ceramics are mended back together with real gold. The philosophy is about caring for things and repairing them with even more valuable material, so we remain grateful for the things we are privileged to have in our lives.

I don’t have the skills or tools (or budget!) to work with real gold, so here’s a “work-around” — I filled the crack with adhesive, then painted on gold leaf. I quite like it. Your thoughts??

Who needs a wire wrap when the twisted branch makes a perfect “nest” for a clear, double-terminated quartz point!?

Loving my new glazes! The kiln goddess was with me that firing! 🙏🏼
