Bitch comes to The Parlor Room this Thursday 4/28 and tickets are going fast.

Bitch is a longstanding q***r icon, actress, musician and writer who Yahoo Entertainment called “a feminist force that the world needs now more than ever” when she released “Bitchcraft,” her 9th studio album, on the legendary label Kill Rock Stars in 2022.

Using songs from “Bitchcraft,” she developed a one woman show, “Hey Bitch!” that has run for two Summer-long residencies in Provincetown, MA. From there, she and her co-writer Margie Zohn rewrote the play and titled it “Bitchcraft: A Musical Play,” which played to rave reviews in an off-Broadway run at Wild Project in February 2025. Whether she is acting in her autobiographical show, or playing a musical concert, Bitch’s shows are colorful, bold, and unforgettable.

AL OLENDER 🌞 THIS SUNDAY AT THE PARLOR ROOM. LOW TICKETS!

The weight of change taunts our periphery, smearing lipstick across a heated cheek before those lips have had a chance to say how they felt, really. A blue-black polaroid, held in a pocket, barely makes shapes of its faces before someone takes another photo. Songwriter Al Olender tries to grasp these brief moments in slow-motion, to live in them for just a little while, but finds that the tighter she holds on, the more these frames fall into a soupy blur. Change is our only constant, but what if we wanted to steep in the now? What if we could stay right here? Olender captures the anxieties of an ever-moving world on her second full-length album The Worrier, where all are invited to mourn the fleeting nature of our experiences and yell into the ether.

TOMORROW! HIDING PLACES 🪜🪜🪜

A Member Discovery Show at The Parlor Room.

Shortly after forming, the members of the New York-via-North Carolina indie rock band Hiding Places noticed a secret power. During their live sets, no matter the loudness, scuzziness, or mayhem of the venues they played, their tender, atmospheric sound became the focus of the room, quieting their surroundings as audiences became hypnotized by their steady, rhythmic interplay and bittersweet vocal melodies. From these experiences, the band developed a credo of close listening. If one member plays too fast, they won’t try to nudge down the tempo; if someone’s volume rises above the rest, they adapt their levels accordingly. The goal, always, is togetherness—to maintain a unified whole, always in sync.
