We are a non-profit performing arts organization presenting diverse, world-class music, circus, and theater to Cape Cod. Graham Nash, Aimee Mann, Robert Cray, Judy Collins, Blue Öyster Cult, Rosanne Cash and Mavis Staples are just a few that have graced our intimate venue. Payomet Performing Arts Center is proud to announce a major ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on June 23 to celebrate the opening of its new circus tent on the grounds of the Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater.

The entire outer Cape community is invited to this short ceremony which will be attended by Senator Julian Cyr, community leaders, friends, families and current and former Cirque students. There will be a big thank you announced to the Town of Wellfleet and the local Community Preservation Committee who supported the $250,000 capital project with a grant of $75,000 as well as to Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater, who has continued to provide a welcoming home to Payomet's Cirque by the Sea summer camp and shows since 2023. The ribbon-cutting will take place from 2:00-3:00 PM and include refreshments as well as a short demonstration of circus arts by the Cirque by the Sea artists on the new stage.
