September 2017
Great Lakes Youth Ballet Friends,
It is bitter sweet that we announce the closing of Great Lakes Youth Ballet Company. Since its inception, the mission of Great Lakes Youth Ballet, a 501(c)(3) non-profit youth ballet company, has been to provide excellence in dance education. Our mission provided young dancers eager to learn and grow, with discipline and respect. Through the art of dance we have been providing meaningful cultural opportunities for our community for almost 15 years.
We would like to thank all of our students, parents, artistic directors and families for enriching our lives over the years. The performances, community service and love for the arts have made us so proud to be a member of the Great Lakes Youth Ballet family. May the love of the arts always stay with you. Please stay in touch. The GLYB page with remain active so former members, families and friends can keep in touch.
I would personally like to take the opportunity to thank all past and current board members for their dedication, time and energy in supporting GLYB Company over the years in our company. Thanks to past board member Christine Polisena for many years of support and hard work to benefit all our students. Thank you to current board member Marie Hoffart and administrative assistant Marci Hoffman for making sure our students and staff needs were always a priority.
Lastly, thanks to Donna Bonvissuto, who was not only a dedicated board member, but also my dedicated friend over these many years. Her passion and heart always guided us to make sure we stay focused on what is good for our students. Her tireless dedication was appreciated by everyone. As the President of Great Lakes Youth Ballet Company I want to thank Donna for helping me and others to reach our mission and goals each and every year.
In closing, Great Lakes Youth Ballet Company will always be a family, please keep in touch. It is my hope and wish that all of you have continued success and continue to reach for the stars and dream big. You have made a difference in the lives of many and I know that will continue.
Best Wishes,
Joe Nicklos
Great Lakes Youth Ballet Board President
