Little Mermaid Audition Requirements

Performances are April 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13
Audition dates:
Monday December 16
6pm-9pm at the North Ridgeville ECLC

Tuesday December 17
6pm-9pm at the North Ridgeville ECLC

Callbacks--by invitation only
Wednesday December 18
6pm-9pm at the North Ridgeville ECLC

Prepare a song from a musical (or portion of) in the style of the show. Bring a background track. No a capella singing. No Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen or Wicked.

Wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to move. A short dance combination will be taught and you will perform in small groups.

Students interested in any speaking role (including a featured ensemble speaking role) will do readings from the script (there is a link below to the readings).

If interested in participating in the Tech Crew or a Crew leadership position you must attend auditions to complete an interest form.

In order to audition or participate in the tech crew, students must bring ALL conflicts from January 6 through April 13 including weekends. Be as specific as possible. We recommend sitting down with your family prior to auditions. Availability will be a large factor in casting and assigning tech positions for this production.

Students in grade 7-12 may audition.

Join us as we bring to life Almost, Maine, a beautifully written play about love, loss, and connection, THIS WEEKEND!

This is more than just a show—it’s a staged reading, which means the focus is entirely on the storytelling. Instead of full costumes, sets, and staging, our actors will rely on expressive voices, gestures, and a few props to tell the story in an intimate way.

By coming to a staged reading like this, you’re not only supporting our school’s young actors but also investing in their creativity, confidence, and collaboration skills. Theater fosters empathy, teaches teamwork, and brings communities together through shared experiences.

The arts make us stronger and more connected—and we couldn’t do it without you. See you there! 🎉
