Huge shout out and Thank You to McLarry Fine Art as “Love Among the Monochrome “ 36x36, oil has found a new home.
This was an aspirational piece, trying a new idea, sometimes these tend to go sideways but this was a painting I’ve been excited about. Always so satisfying when a new vision comes together and is appreciated!
Thank you to all the amazing folks McLarry Fine Art for the support and partnership.

It’s been a very busy year! Thanks to all my amazing collectors, new and not as new, your love and support means everything. After a crazy summer schedule I’m now in the process of creating new imagery, new paintings headed out to galleries soon.

Back in my art school days at the amazing American Academy of Art in Chicago, I had an instructor who was asked if he ever keeps any of his paintings for himself, his answer was “no, not really, as I always figured that my best work was still ahead of me”.

The great thing about my career is that after almost 35 years I’m still more excited about what’s ahead of me. Bring it on!

This piece from a few years ago, “Balance” 30x30 oil.

I never get tired of painting a small portrait, it’s a great exercise and can say so much. The attempt to capture mood and emotion in a subtle glance or bend in the corner of the mouth can be challenging.
I like how this piece turned out, “On Pink” 10x10 oil, is now available, message me to inquire.

Art opens up the ordinary scenes of daily living into moments of discovery, in times that are increasingly heavy, art takes us to better places, wishing to find ourselves there.
Call me a hopeless romantic and a sucker for a great song. Just completed, “Espresso Love” 20x24 oil. Coming to a gallery soon! Jones & Terwilliger Galleries Red Piano Art Gallery McLarry Fine Art

I don’t often post sales of paintings, but on occasion if it’s a unique or special piece and it’s received an honor or going to a new collection I like to acknowledge it.

“The Big Dance” 48x48 oil, is on its way to an amazing collection. Thank you to McLarry Fine Art for all the support and finding a forever home for this unique painting. As artists one of our jobs is to take chances and push our personal or creative envelope, it’s great to see that effort appreciated and enjoyed

Time for a fancy cocktail at dinner tonight. Cheers!
