The Legend has a new neighbor with deep San Antonio roots.

Cindy Garcia graduated first in her class with a perfect 4.0 GPA, the first person in her family to pursue a college degree. That drive has stayed with her through her life and career.

Now she's bringing it to The Legend as our newest Educator in Residence, with more than two decades of language instruction experience from classrooms across the city. She currently teaches in the English, Literature, and Language department and the Intensive English Program at St. Mary's University, and serves as an English professor at Alamo Colleges District, where she authored an Open Educational Resources textbook now used across the district's English courses. Through Northside ISD's Adult Education and Literacy Program, she also works one-on-one with adult learners as both an ESL instructor and career counselor.

She holds a Master's degree from St. Mary's University and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Leadership Studies, one more chapter in a career built on the belief that every question is a chance to learn something new.

Great teaching doesn't stop at the classroom door, and Cindy has spent her career proving it. At The Legend, Cindy will design programming that gives residents access to the kind of educational support that's usually reserved for a classroom, right in the place they live.

The Tribute is searching for its next Artist in Residence.

Through American Landmark’s Artist in Residence program, one visual artist will receive no-cost housing for up to one year, dedicated creative space, and a monthly art supply stipend. As part of the residency, the artist will lead weekly art experiences and create opportunities for residents to explore their own creativity.

We are looking for an artist who is confident in their craft, enjoys sharing the creative process with others, and is ready to become an active part of the community. Applicants should be 18 or older, actively working in a visual arts discipline, comfortable leading creative programming, and able to work both independently and alongside the community team.

Applications are due September 7, 2026, for a Fall 2026 start date.

South Florida artists, imagine what you could create with no-cost housing, dedicated creative space, and up to a year to grow your work.

American Landmark is accepting applications for its Artist in Residence program. The selected visual artist will receive no-cost housing for up to one year, a monthly stipend for art supplies, and a dedicated place to create.

As part of the residency, the artist will develop and lead weekly art programming for residents while working independently and coordinating with the community’s management team.

We are looking for someone who is confident in their craft, comfortable sharing their creative process, and excited to turn original ideas into welcoming experiences residents can take part in. For the right artist, this is an incredible opportunity to invest more time in their work while building connections through art.

The residency is expected to begin in Fall 2026, with the official start date to be announced.

We're excited to introduce Tisha-Vonique, the first Educator in Residence at Eightyone10 Blue Goose.

For more than a decade, Tisha-Vonique has been strengthening communities across Texas through education, health, and the arts. She founded BCCI Health Equity Community Initiatives, a peer-to-peer support and outreach program she continues to lead today, and partners with community centers as a community health worker focused on family wellness and nutrition. Earlier in her career, she managed K–12 afterschool programs with AmeriCorps North Texas.

Her educational journey has taken her from the Meadows School of the Arts at SMU to Harvard Medical School's EMPOWER Lab, reflecting her belief that art, education, and health can work hand in hand. She was also a featured speaker at the national Points of Light Conference on Volunteering and was recently recognized by the City of Austin as an Emerging Artist Leader.

Through American Landmark's Educator in Residence program, Tisha-Vonique will bring learning opportunities to the community that inspire residents to build new skills, explore new interests, and grow together right where they call home.

Switchyard in Downtown Carrollton is searching for its next Artist in Residence.

At American Landmark, we believe the places people call home should be places where creativity is visible, shared, and woven into everyday life. Our Artist in Residence program gives artists the opportunity to continue developing their own practice while becoming a familiar creative presence within the community.

Throughout the year, you'll host regular art experiences that invite neighbors to gather, learn new skills, and build creative habits together. Your work will also help shape the visual identity of the property through original artwork, including large-scale murals, while activating shared spaces through creative experiences that bring people together.

The selected artist will receive:
• No-cost housing for up to one year
• Dedicated studio space
• A monthly art supply stipend for community art

You'll lead welcoming weekly art experiences for residents while continuing to focus on your own creative work.

We're looking for a visual artist with a strong body of work, confidence in their creative practice, and a desire to become part of a creative apartment community.

This residency offers the opportunity to develop your work, contribute to the identity of a place, and help create a community where creativity becomes part of everyday life.

We are excited to officially welcome Quinn Cale as the newest Artist in Residence with American Landmark at The Griffin in Brandon, Florida.

Since joining the program in April, Quinn has brought a bright and imaginative creative presence to the community.

Based in the Tampa Bay area, Quinn is a contemporary painter known for bold, story driven artwork that blends nature, nostalgia, and the vibrant visual style of the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Her work brings animals, tropical patterns, arcade inspired imagery, and playful characters to life through bright colors and expressive compositions.

Through the Artist in Residence Program, Quinn shares her creativity with residents through hands on workshops, community events, and meaningful art experiences designed to bring neighbors together.

This program was created to bring unique creative experiences directly into our communities, giving residents new ways to connect, learn, and express themselves right where they live.

With her joyful style and passion for storytelling, Quinn is a wonderful part of The Griffin community. We are thrilled to celebrate her and look forward to all the ways she will continue inspiring creativity and connection.

A new creative chapter is beginning at The Elliott.

We are excited to welcome Brandon Scott as the newest Artist in Residence with American Landmark.

Brandon is a multimedia artist from Kannapolis, North Carolina, known for creating expressive portraits, pet artwork, and mixed media pieces that capture personality, emotion, and everyday beauty.

Through the Artist in Residence Program, Brandon will share his passion for art with residents through creative workshops, community events, and hands-on experiences designed to bring people together.

This program was created to bring meaningful creative experiences directly into our communities, giving residents new ways to connect, learn, and express themselves right where they live.

With his passion for craftsmanship, storytelling, and building creative community, Brandon is a wonderful addition to The Elliott. We are thrilled to welcome him and cannot wait for residents to experience his creativity firsthand.
