Food has a way of creating connection, and for Autumn Guzman, every recipe tells a story.

For Autumn, that story started around 10 years old when she became her dad’s “sous chef,” helping prepare meals while the Food Network played in the background. What began as childhood curiosity quickly grew into a lifelong passion for baking, creativity, and bringing people together through food.

Inspired by her own health journey, Autumn discovered that mindful ingredients and unforgettable flavor could exist together. She dedicated herself to creating recipes that allow more people to enjoy their favorite foods without losing the flavors, textures, and memories people love most.

After becoming the head baker at a gluten-free bakery and pursuing a nutrition degree, she continued perfecting her approach to allergen-friendly baking, gluten-free desserts, and recipes designed with intention.

As Palmetto Pointe’s first-ever culinary Artist in Residence, Autumn has continued expanding her craft by creating memorable moments for residents through hands-on experiences that celebrate creativity, learning, and community.

The American Landmark Artist in Residence Program was created to make home feel more connected, and Autumn’s residency is a perfect example of how shared experiences can turn neighbors into community.

At the heart of Autumn’s work is a simple idea: everyone deserves to experience the joy of their favorite foods, and the best recipes are the ones made to be shared.

Because sometimes the sweetest connections begin with something made from scratch.

For Rae Wilson, every painting begins with a question about connection, transforming people, places, and possibilities into visual stories that reveal what lies beneath the surface.

Known for her bold color palettes, expressive portraiture, and imaginative nature-inspired compositions, Rae creates visual stories that celebrate curiosity, community, and the relationships that connect us to one another and the world around us.

A self-taught artist, Rae built her career through persistence, practice, and a willingness to follow her creativity wherever it led. After rediscovering painting in her hometown after leaving college, she developed her skills through real-world experience, mentorship, and public art opportunities that helped shape her distinctive artistic voice.

In 2016, an unexpected conversation at a local restaurant led to her first mural commission and launched a career that now includes large-scale public art projects, local exhibitions, educational programming, and community engagement throughout Arizona. Today, she teaches painting classes across the Valley, leads a public art sketching tour for The City of Surprise, serves as a Studio Artist in Residence for the City of Tempe, and was recognized as a 2025 Valley Metro Artsline Spotlight Artist Award recipient.

As part of the American Landmark Artist in Residence Program at The Access, Rae continues her commitment to making art accessible and engaging. She shares her love of creativity through hands-on workshops and experiences that encourage residents to explore new ideas, build confidence, and connect with one another through art.

Whether she's creating a mural, teaching a class, or painting one of her symbolic worlds filled with plants, animals, and circles, Rae's work is rooted in the belief that creativity has the power to bring people together.

There’s an unmistakable sense of warmth and intention behind everything Chef Victoria-Lee creates. She believes food should do more than nourish people. It should create connection, spark joy, and make people feel cared for.

As the founder of The Vegan Black Pin-Up, Victoria-Lee has created a culinary experience where soulful Southern flavors, wellness, creativity, and culture all come together. Her work blends elevated vegan cuisine with a sense of warmth and nostalgia, inspired by everything from her grandmother’s Soul Food restaurant to the timeless glamour of classic pin-up culture.

Inspired by a multicultural upbringing between Pennsylvania and Texas, Victoria-Lee developed an early appreciation for how food connects people across backgrounds and experiences. That connection only deepened after her own health journey led her toward veganism in 2015. Searching for relief from chronic migraines and inspired by holistic wellness, she began exploring plant-based living and discovered how transformative food could truly be.

After studying at Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, Victoria-Lee dedicated herself to creating flavorful vegan cuisine that feels comforting, intentional, and welcoming to everyone at the table. Her work blends vegan sushi, soulful Southern classics, wellness-focused dining, and artistic presentation into immersive culinary experiences.

Beyond the kitchen, Victoria-Lee has spent years giving back through volunteer work, wellness outreach, and community initiatives throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. From helping feed unsheltered communities to supporting local outreach programs, her work has always centered around care, healing, and connection.

Now, as part of the American Landmark Artist in Residence Program at Shelby at Northside, Chef Victoria-Lee is creating opportunities for residents to connect through food, creativity, and shared experiences with cooking classes, curated dinners, and wellness-inspired gatherings designed to make community feel intentional.

At the heart of her residency is the belief that food can be both healing and joyful, bringing people together in meaningful ways around a shared table.
