'Til Tuesday was an American new wave and alternative rock band formed in Boston, Massachusetts. Best known for their 1985 hit single "Voices Carry", these lyrics certainly resonate with us on this as we wait for the votes to come in!

2 weeks before Woodstock in 1969, The 3-day U.S. Atlantic City Pop Festival took place at the Atlantic City race track with B.B. King, Janis Joplin, Santana, Three Dog Night, Dr John, Procol Harum, Arthur Brown, Iron Butterfly, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Little Richard, Tim Buckley, The Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, The Mothers Of Invention and Canned Heat. Joni Mitchell started to cry and ran off stage in the middle of her third song because the crowd was not paying attention to her performance. If only we could go back in time and see some great live music without the fear of the pandemic. We promise we'd pay attention to Joni 🖤

"(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay" is a song co-written by soul singer Otis Redding and guitarist Steve Cropper. It was recorded by Redding twice in 1967, including once just days before his death in a plane crash. After Redding's death, Cropper mixed "Dock of the Bay" at Stax Studios. He added the sound of seagulls and waves crashing to the background, as Redding had requested, recalling the sounds he heard when he was staying on the houseboat where he began writing the song. "The Dock of the Bay" has been hugely popular, and recorded by many other artists over the years, including Glen Campbell, Cher, Peggy Lee, David Allen Coe, Bob Dylan, Waylon Jennings & Willie Nelson, Pearl Jam, T. Rex, Garth Brooks, Sammy Hagar & Michael Bolton. We couldn’t think of a better classic to have on the playlist during a

Heard it in the wind. Saw it in the sky. Thought is was the end. Thought it was the 4th of July. Can't help but think of this great classic as we honor America today, as well as Chris. Thanks for the music and the freedom!

to the great who wrote such hits as ‘I Just Want to Make Love to You’, ‘Bring it on Home’ and ‘I Can’t Quit You Baby’. According to Willie, “the blues are the roots of all American music. As long as American music survives, so will . We couldn’t agree more. Thanks for the music!

Robert Lamm of the American band, Chicago, wrote "Saturday in the Park" after spending 4th of July in Central Park where there were steel drum players, singers, dancers and jugglers. It was based on the melody of the Beatles' "You Won't See Me". Hopefully everyone is able to get outside for some fresh air in the park, or anywhere this weekend! Don't forget to rock some Chicago as you enjoy the sun.

On this day in 1998 the movie Hope Floats was released, featuring the song 'Chances Are' performed by Bob Seger & Martina McBride. This was Seger’s first ever duet, and Martina’s first ever soundtrack contribution. He originally wrote it for his wife when they started dating 9 year’s earlier. What are some of your favorite film songs or duets?
