It is with profound sadness that we ask you to lift up our production manager and friend Jarrett Hucks and his family. Jarrett's wife, Annie Gayle Hucks , was killed by an impaired driver on Friday. Jarrett has shared his own words about Annie below. Please hold this family in your prayers.
"Annie Gayle Hucks, my amazing wife, was tragically struck and killed by an impaired driver yesterday. I’m absolutely broken. I feel so lost.
She was 14 and I was 17 when we met. Though we didn’t start dating until years later our lives remained tethered. We had a beautiful friendship. She was so funny and charming. I would sneak into the convention center to sit with her at concessions booth she worked. She talked me into doing a duet dance with her for a church service and after spending all that time preparing we started dating.
It rained the day I proposed. I was raining when I went down on one knee and then just moments later the skies cleared. She had a way of cultivating sunshine.
She was the most amazing person. So full of life and joy. She opened presents like it was the best thing she’d ever seen every time. That’s something she passed down to our daughter.
She was amazing mother. She loved her children so fiercely and she was so patient and understanding and taught them how to communicate their feelings so well. She was so silly with them and played every pretend game they came up with.
She fought so hard and inspired so many. She got through cancer, pcos, scary childbirth and a BRAIN TUMOR. And those are just the headlines. She fought for us to draw close to one another. She wrote the most amazing cards for birthdays and anniversaries. I always signed my letters to her forever and ever.
I adored my wife. Annie was my partner, my best friend, the mother to our children and the most gorgeous creature to ever walk this earth.
