North Miami Class of '74

Just received some sad news that our North Miami Class of 1974 lost another class member, Greg Sahlsten back on December 10, 2025. Greg was definitely a notable face in the crowd whether he was hitting helmets Friday nights on the football field or strolling down the halls at school. His bellowing deep voice and raspy laugh was easily recognizable. Great sense of humor and simply a nice friendly person to be around. May his memory always burn bright for his family and all of those who knew and loved him. His life was a blessing.

It comes with sadness to share that our NMSH Class of 1974 has lost another member of our class. Lynn McCafferty Boyd passed away suddenly on February 19,2026. She had been a long time resident of Meridian,Mississippi where she had worked for the Andersen Regional Medical Center for 46 years. She is survived by her husband of 49 years Keith, her 2 sons and 4 grandchildren.
She will be missed by all of those who knew and loved her. May she always rest in peace…

It’s comes with sincere sadness to share the passing of another member of the GREAT North Miami Class of '74. We lost Kerry Nagel a week ago today as he succumbed to a relatively brief illness.
I remember his radiant smile and truly friendly, engaging personality and humorous way about him. Kerry was a life long and still practicing physician in the Atlanta ,Ga area. Sadly, Kerry was not able to attend our recent 50th Year High School reunion this past July . It would have been nice to see him again….😔
May all the wonderful life long memories of Kerry forever burn bright in the hearts and minds of his beloved wife,
2 daughters, other family members and close friends. His life was a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
There will be a celebration of life service in South Florida sometime in February. Details will be announced at a later date.

These are scam pretenders and opportunists looking to take advantage of you and steal your money. You can always contact any 1974 reunion committee member to verify… Don’t fall victim to this chronic and continuing effort…

How cool and appropriate is this?!!!!!
Al Chansen who drove in from Oklahoma for our 50th celebration and WAS an AMAZING help to the committee over the weekend had come across this actual street sign in Texas years ago and meant to bring it with him but forgot…( see what happens when you get older?!!) THANKS for sharing AL……!!!
