Happy Birthday to our dancer Leonardo Bares! Our Italian fellow dancer also a pianist and percussionist, a guy full of talents !

Mr. Bares comes from the Carcano Theater in Milan – Italy where he had the opportunity to dance the principal role the ballet Minotaurus. Previous ballet seasons include Dancepartout Ballet Company – Italy, Atlantic City Ballet and the New York Dance Project. Mr. Bares began his serious classical training at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater, München Ballet-Akademie in Munich – Germany and later he continued his education at Area Dance in Milan – Italy. His repertoire includes Romeo & Juliet, the Cavalier in The Nutcracker, A Midsummer’s Night Dream, Carmen, Dracula, Prince Siegfried in Swan Lake, La Sylphide and Carmina Burana. Mr. Bares is also an avid piano player and a percussionist.

AINAYAH GOBEL
Comes from the Indonesia Dance Company. Ms. Gobel graduated from the Marlupi Dance Academy in Jakarta, Indonesia where she is from. She received a Bronze Medal at the Malaysia International Ballet Grand Prix in 2017, the First Place at the Asian Grand Prix International Ballet Competition in 2018 and the First Place at the Youth American Grand Prix Regional Jakarta in 2022. She joined Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida in 2024.

TAINÀ PELOSI SCHMITT

Ms. Pelosi Schmitt graduated from New World School of the Arts earning her Associate in Arts Degree specialized in Dance. She began her early training at the Teatro Guaria Cultural Center Ballet School in Curitiba – Brazil. She later joined the Curitiba Companhia de Dança as a Corps de Ballet. Ms. Pelosi Schmitt completed the Summer Intensive 2025 with Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida.

INDIRA MAYRANI
Ms. Mayrani trained at the Marlupi Dance Academy in her native Indonesia, under the directorship of Founder Marlupi Sijangga and Fifi Sijangga with faculty member Claresta Alim, former dancer at Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida. She graduated from The Australian Ballet School where she spent the last three years of her formal training. In 2019 she received the Grand Championship Medalist Award at the Japan Ballet Competition and in 2021 she was awarded a Gold Medal at the Dance Prix Indonesia. Indira joined Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida in 2024.

Last week FAN members were privileged to attend the rehearsal of the Spring Gala of Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida’s Polovtsian Dances. It was spectacular! We can’t wait to go back and attend the actual Gala on May 3rd. See the FAN Events calendar for details, at fundingartnetwork.org.
