I dont want to be the person who posts EVERYTHING . But this was something I should h a ve posted last week. Let me start from the beginning. Last Saturday we got a visit from the weekend nurse from Baptist, someone we didn't know existed even after 4 months. Not only did we not expect her, she was delivering bad news. Charlene came to tell us I was being dismissed from home health. Now, I didn't need my nurse quite so much, but my physical therapist was a different story. In the last month, we were really making some progress. With her on one side and my husband on the other, I had started taking 3 or 4 steps and I needed my PT to continue making progress. I was DEVASTATED. By Monday, I had come up with a plan just not to sign the release...YES, I was going to be THAT person. But I also have a lot of work to get done until my insurance just ripped my PT away. And here's the plan. I'm going to take a walker and put it up against the wall so I can practice lifting my legs in a walking motion. Well, my PT took it one "step" further. With her on one side and my husband on the other, i can use the walker to walk. As of today, I'm walking at least 10 feet across my living room. I'm not ready to try walking without both my Physical Therapist and my husband but I'm working towards it as fast as i can. After my sessions, I'm excited and tired and looking forward to the next session. It won't/ can't be long now until I'm walking by myself. I have a MRI and PET scan at the end of the month and I'm believing I could be cancer free by then. The Lord said I would be healed, and I accept His healing and I can't wait to share that post !

WE COULD REALLY USE YOUR HELP
This is a very hard and embarrassing post to write. It has been almost 7 months since I was told I had stage 4 small cell cancer. I went to the hospital because I couldn't walk and thought it had something to do with my paralyzed colon...
I still have a hard time believing I have cancer and all that has happened. Chris has had to stay home with me because of the paralysis and because him, I didn't have to go into a nursing home. But because of this, he has not been able to work, and after 7 months we could really use some financial help. As it always is, I am finally really healthy enough to be left alone so Chris can get back to some work but we have found ourselves in quite a financial bind until he can get some things with the stem cells going and then reopening the studio. But all this is still several weeks away and 7 months without new income coming in has put us in a bind. Several of you have graciously donated in the past and we greatly appreciate everything. We have a PayPal account " Help Melia Kick Cancer" and a GoFundMe page with the same name and if you can, any amount will help. I am just learning how to figure out who has donated and I apologize for not thanking those who previously donated. There have been several expenses that we weren't expecting which apparently happens after 3 months in the hospital and it has become overwhelming. GOD IS WORKING A MIRACLE !
If I had looked up my type of cancer when I was 1st diagnosed, I would have blocked my own healing. The survival rate of stage 4 small cell cancer can be less than 30%. But I am receiving complete healing. My CT scan from Friday showed complete reversal of ANY brain cancer. There is NO cancer on my spine and the cancer in the bronchial tubes is dissipating. The bpne scan show regenerating bone. My physical therapist is getting me on my feet and I am praying everyday to dance ahain. The financial gifts we have received have been a blessing since we cant work right now.
In the natural, without God, I might not be here today, to share my MIRACLE, but fortunately I have blessed to share with everyone what God can do.

It's been only 4 MONTHS and I am so overwhelmed by everyone who has said a small or big prayer for me. I have received prayers from people I don't know personally, but every prayer has been appreciated. Incredibly, I got some fantastic news, and I need to share that God's word has not returned void. In 4 months, my cancer tumor markers which started at 227 are now down to 27 !!!!! Praise the Lord. Normal levels are 0-3. I accept I am healed of the cancer. I still have some obstacles to overcome which need prayer....for instance walking is not something I can do right now but through God, prayers and faith all things are possible.

What should have been a great day.... done with chemotherapy treatments turned totalling the opposite of what I had hoped. I started running fever Wednesday night which can be expected when taking chemotherapy, just as long as the fever doesn't get to high. Well, today everything went wrong. I started out with a fever of 100.3 but they decided to go ahead with the treatment anyway. An hour later, I'm finishing up and I get nauseous. My pulse starts racing between 210 and 215. The nurses (all 3 of them) couldn't get a blood pressure and my temperature is not registering. The bottom line is I end up across the street on the emergency room for 6 hours. I am severely dehydrated, and I still have 2 chemotherapy treatments. But never underestimate God's power. I met my ER nurse's son. Without giving out someone else's story, he was in an accident that left him paralyzed for a couple of days, even though he can walk apparently he gets depressed over the things he has lost. It was very strange that his mom asked if I would meet him, but even stranger was that him mom told me she could tell I made an impact on her kid. Even though I am past ready to walk, God's will be done.
