The splash pad at Centennial Park is coming, and you can check out some renderings right outside the construction area on this banner that was hung with the help from a bunch of Frog Hollow kids who were enjoying the playground, and were very excited. They only had one additional request: a dinosaur that spits water on parents (Josh, who manages our facilities, said he would see what we can do.)

South Slope Cooperative has put their mark on Centennial Park with a legacy gift to North Liberty’s Next Stage capital campaign to support the continued development of the entertainment destination.

Since their installation in 2018, 10 large boulders have provided tens of thousands of children entertainment. Young families enjoy the structures daily and during special events and festivals. This area of Centennial Park is now officially named the South Slope Rock Playground.

Have you visited Los Trompos yet? The eight spinning top play structures are only in Centennial Park until July 12.

It’s going to be a beautiful night of free entertainment in Centennial Park at Ballet Des Moines visits North Liberty presented by Corda Credit Union!

Activities, food vendors, concessions and live music begin at 5:00 p.m., before Debut Dance and Ballet Des Moines’ performances start at 6:15 p.m.
