Above The Curve Theatre dedicated to great theatre since 2006 Above The Curve Theatre provides a fun and safe environment for artists to cultivate new and current talents.

Above The Curve, founded May 2006, in Los Angeles, CA, is a women-driven, actor-derived, nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering female artists and strengthening our community. All members are encouraged to write, act, produce and direct, and, while our primary creative outlet is the theatre, we encourage all of our members to explore every medium of the entertainment industry. Our goal is

to develop versatile artists capable of creating more dynamic work for women and tackling the most challenging roles. At the same time, Above The Curve Theatre strives to provide the community with professional productions held to the highest standards of excellence. Through the awesome power of the performing arts, the ensemble hopes to educate and entertain, but it does not stop there, members are also encouraged to give back to our community through group sponsored charity events and outreach programs. Above the Curve Theatre is proudly sponsored by Emerge Arts Projects, Inc., a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) entity.

Meet Rachel Logan. Not only is Rachel performing in Holiday Memories, but she is also the musical director! We couldn't have prepared this show without her.

Here's Rachel's favorite holiday memory: "This is a memory of when I received my first piano! I walked out of my room with my best friend's hand over my eyes. As she uncovered my eyes and the sheet was taken off the oddly shaped clump, it revealed a piano!"

Meet Bonnie Doyle. Bonnie has been a member of ATC since 2013 and a board member since 2017. We are excited to have her back on our stage for Holiday Memories.

Here's one of Bonnie's favorite holiday memories: "One of my favorite Christmas gifts from Santa was my Fisher Price Kitchen. It was the coolest! When you put the frying pan on the stove, it sizzled. The plastic bacon ended up getting mixed in with our Christmas decorations, so we put it on the tree the next year as a joke. To this day, my mom has “the Christmas bacon” on her tree every year."

We are so happy to have Ella Stichler return to the ATC stage (psst....this week)! Get ready for Ella to get you something excited to prep for the holidays this year.

Here is one of Ella's favorite holiday memories: "My favorite holiday memory will always be our family Christmas trips to Lake Tahoe. Waking up to a winter wonderland as a kid felt absolutely magical, and we’d spend our days ice skating, skiing, and sledding, and it truly became the backdrop of my childhood Christmases. Now, as an adult, our traditions look a little different. Instead of Tahoe, both my mom and dad’s extended family usually gathers at our home for Christmas. It’s really special to see those traditions continue in a new way and to have everyone come together each year. It reminds me of how lucky I am to have grown up with such magical holidays and to now help keep that spirit alive."

We'd like to introduce some of the cast for Holiday Memories. First up....meet Mandy Kaplan. It has been such a joy to welcome Mandy into the ATC family.

Here is one of her favorite holiday memories: "When I was first dating my husband he presented me with a homemade book and as I flipped the pages I started to fear he was proposing (it felt too soon), On the last page he popped the question "will you see Bea Arthur live with me" - We have now been happily married for 19 years!!"
